Mini-est Thanksgiving Day Parade marches into LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (Bergen County) – This year, the streets of Manhattan are not the only place to watch the Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Find the perfect viewing spot at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey, a Merlin Entertainments-owned attraction. The Center has created New York’s smallest Thanksgiving Day Parade – all made out of LEGO® bricks!
Countless LEGO Minifigures participated in the parade, with crowds of mini-audiences, and iconic parade features like marching bands, floats, dancers, performers, elves, and even LEGO® turkeys.
The Center’s Master Model Builder, Anthony Snyder, and the Creative Crew teamed up to create the parade that takes over the roads of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey’s MINILAND.
The Creative Crew meets monthly with Master Model Builder Anthony to learn tips and tricks for building with LEGO bricks. This month, they put their skills to the test by working in teams to create their own unique floats, including themes such as Turkey, Space, Nature, and Glow-in-the-dark.
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey is closed on Thanksgiving Day and will reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 29th. Tickets can be purchased in advance online to guarantee entry.
The full-scale replica parade will be on display starting Friday, November 29th through Wednesday, January 1st in MINILAND, a cityscape of New York and New Jersey made up of over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks.
