Morris County economic development group to honor regional leaders at annual awards event
FLORHAM PARK BOROUGH, N.J. (Morris County) — The Morris County Economic Development Corporation will host its 33rd annual Partners in Economic Development Awards on March 12, recognizing organizations and projects that have helped strengthen the county’s economy and community vitality.
The morning event, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, will bring together business leaders, real estate professionals, public officials and nonprofit organizations from across Morris County. More than 100 attendees are expected.
Now in its 33rd year, the awards program highlights achievements in economic development, commercial real estate, workforce growth, tourism and public-private collaboration. The event has become a signature gathering for regional stakeholders focused on long-term economic resilience and innovation.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Rob Caridad, development director at Advance Realty Group, a New York metropolitan area-based firm specializing in commercial and mixed-use development. Caridad is expected to share insights on redevelopment trends and investment strategies shaping the region.
The program will also include the debut of the Morris County Economic Development Corporation’s industry video, showcasing the county’s diverse business sectors and economic assets, as well as raffle prizes from local vendors.
Scheduled speakers and presenters include Meghan Hunscher, president and CEO of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation; Morris County Commissioner Director Stephen Shaw; Amanda Granito, senior manager of corporate partnerships for the New York Red Bulls; Sarah Neibart, mayor of Mendham Township and executive director of Morris County’s 250th anniversary initiative; and Samantha Rutledge, director of strategic partnerships for the Morris County Economic Development Alliance, who will present an update on USA250 Morris County efforts.
Three organizations will be honored with 2025 Impact Awards. The Economic Impact Award will be presented to the Picatinny Enhancement Coalition, a nonprofit organization that supports Picatinny Arsenal and other New Jersey-based military installations through advocacy and strategic partnerships. The Tourism Impact Award will go to the Mayo Performing Arts Center, which presents more than 200 performances annually and plays a key role in drawing visitors to Morris County. The Community Impact Award will recognize the LEAD Morris Program, which provides leadership education and civic engagement training for professionals across sectors.
