Morris County man charged with distributing child pornography

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man was arrested Monday for distributing images and videos depicting child sexual abuse, according to U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Igor Michael Terrero, 49, of Succasunna was charged by complaint with one count of distributing child pornography. Terrero made his initial appearance by videoconference today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jessica S. Allen and was released on $100,000 unsecured bond, with home detention and electronic monitoring, Sellinger said.

According to documents filed in this case and statements made in court, from August 30, 2021, through April 20, 2022, Terrero shared more than 85 media files, including images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

The charge of distribution of child pornography depicting prepubescent children carries a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, and a $250,000 fine, Sellinger said.
