Morris County Prosecutor’s Office expands anti-bias/bullying program to more schools

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Samantha DeNegri and Sergeant Patrick LaGuerre recently brought their educational Anti-Bias/Bullying program to more schools across northern New Jersey, including Kinnelon High School and Pearl R. Miller Middle School on April 4, Rockaway Valley School in Boonton Township on April 8, and Assumption School in Morristown on May 1.

The program aims to teach students about the consequences of failing to exercise good judgment in their interactions with peers and in their online behavior, emphasizing how actions taken today can impact their future.

Presenters also explain Morris County’s zero-tolerance policy for threats of school violence, reinforcing that consequences and corrective actions are enforced, even when students claim their comments were made in jest.

The assemblies also provide an opportunity for law enforcement officers to connect directly with students.

The program has been presented in both public and private schools across Morris County and beyond, with more than a dozen presentations held over the last year in Morris, Sussex, Union, and Warren counties.
