Morris County woman arrested on drug and stolen property charges at municipal court, police say
HANOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Whippany woman was arrested last month on multiple drug-related and stolen property charges after police said she appeared impaired while accompanying a friend to Hanover Township Municipal Court.
According to police, the incident occurred on October 6, when officers allegedly observed Mary Frechette, 46, displaying possible signs of impairment and suspected drug use while inside the municipal court building.
Following a brief investigation, Frechette was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription legend drugs, and possession of stolen property, police said.
Frechette was transported to police headquarters for processing and later lodged in the Morris County Jail pending a detention hearing, authorities said.
