Mosquito spraying set for Monday morning in 6 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in sections of East Hanover Township on Monday morning.

The mosquito spraying will go on from 4:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. on June 17, weather permitting, the commission said.

The following areas are scheduled to be treated:

  • East Hanover Township: School Ave, Wilson Ave, Beechwood Ln, Dogwood Ln, Jane St, Glutting Pl, Peniston Ave, Walnut Terr, Lyons Pl, Crest Dr., Dixon Pl, and McKinley Ave.

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807, Pesticide Applicator License Number 20262B.

The commission will also be using an All-Terrain Vehicle to treat a section of woods in Morris Plains Borough, Rockaway, Denville Township, Hanover Township, East Hanover Township, and Florham Park Borough on Monday morning.

The mosquito spraying will go on from 4:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. on June 17, weather permitting, the commission said.

  • Morris Plains Borough: Jim Fear Dr.
  • Rockaway: Rockwood Dr.
  • Denville Township: Hussa Pl.
  • Hanover Township: Valley Forge Dr (Heritage Woods).
  • East Hanover Township: Brentwood Dr.
  • Florham Park Borough: Columbia Turnpike (VDM Metals).

The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724-807.
