MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – The Morris County Mosquito Commission has announced that it will be using an All-Terrain vehicle or a backpack sprayer to treat a section of woods in Montville Township, Boonton, Morris Plains Borough, and Florham Park Borough Wednesday morning.
The mosquito spraying will go on from 4:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. on August 2, weather permitting, the commission said.
The following areas are scheduled to be treated:
- Montville: Horseneck Rd (Community Park Amphitheater).
- Boonton: West Main Ave and Essex Ave (Grace Lord Park).
- Morris Plains: Glenbrook Rd and Mountain Way (Roberts Garden).
- Florham Park: Brooklake Road (Fish’s Meadow)
The commission will be using Anvil 2+2, active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA#1021-1687-8329 or Zenivex E4, active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA#2724.
The commission will also be using a truck mounted sprayer to treat streets in Hanover Township, and Parsippany-Troy Hills Wednesday night.
The mosquito spraying will go on from 8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. on August 2, weather permitting, the commission said.
