Mosquito treatments scheduled Friday in 3 Morris County towns

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Mosquito control treatments are scheduled for early Friday morning in sections of Hanover, East Hanover and Morristown due to adult mosquito populations, according to the Morris County Division of Mosquito Control.

Weather permitting, treatments will be conducted by all-terrain vehicle from 4:30 to 6:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18.

Treatment areas include East Hanover Avenue near the gardens in Hanover, Ridge Drive near Hanover Cemetery in East Hanover and Lidgerwood Parkway near Lidgerwood Park in Morristown.

Officials said the treatments will use either Anvil 2+2, with the active ingredient Sumithrin, EPA registration No. 1021-1687-8329, or Zenivex E4, with the active ingredient Etofenprox, EPA registration No. 2724-807.
