Mountain Creek Waterpark to open June 20 with return of Cannonball Falls and Tarzan Swings
VERNON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County) — Mountain Creek Resort announced that its waterpark will open for the 2025 summer season on June 20, marking the return of two of its most iconic rides.
The waterpark, located at the four-season resort in Vernon, will operate daily through Sept. 1, closing each day at 6 p.m. This season will be highlighted by the comeback of Cannonball Falls and the Tarzan Swings — longtime fan favorites being reintroduced in a newly designed section of the park called “The Gorge.”
“These rides have always been fan favorites, and we can’t wait for our guests to experience them in a whole new way,” said Evan Kovach, general manager of Mountain Creek Resort. “It’s going to be an unforgettable season.”
Alongside the revamped attractions, the waterpark will continue to offer popular features such as Colorado River Rapids, Zero G, High Tide Wavepool, Canyon Cliff Jump, and a variety of options for younger children.
Advance online reservations are required for admission. Full-day tickets start at $49.99, while season passes are currently available for $89.99, offering unlimited access, free general parking, and food and retail discounts. The 21+ Waterpark After Dark event series will also return from July 11 through Aug. 8.
Mountain Creek Resort, located just 47 miles from the George Washington Bridge, also features a bike park and zipline tours. The resort is currently hiring for its summer season, offering starting pay of $16 per hour, complimentary season passes for employees and their families, and other benefits.
