Port-a-johns damaged by pickup in Hunterdon County park

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Several port-a-johns were damaged by a vehicle in a Bethlehem Township park Sunday night.

According to Bethlehem Township Mayor Paul J. Muir, on May 26, at around 11:40 p.m., the driver of a maroon Chevy pickup with an engine hoist in the bed hit all of the port-a-johns and pushed one into the playground at Heritage Park.

“All will likely need to be replaced,” Muir said. “We have more video, and the incident was shared with the State Police.”

“Upon the trooper’s arrival, multiple port-a-johns were damaged by a vehicle,” New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron told RNJ. “The investigation remains ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.”
