Portion of Washington Street in Boonton to be closed next week for sewer work

Partial Road Closure Between the Intersections of Lathrop Ave. & Monroe St.

BOONTON, NJ (Morris County) – Washington Street (County Route 511) will be closed between the intersections of Lathrop Avenue and Monroe Street in Boonton starting on Monday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 18 for the installation of a bypass sewer system.

Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the duration of the project and detour signs will be in place for motorists to follow.

North Bound Traffic on Washington Street:

  • Traffic will be detoured to turn right onto Grant Street.
  • Vehicles will then turn left into Holmes Street.
  • From Holmes Street, traffic will turn left onto Lathrop Avenue, leading back to Washington Street/Main Street.

South Bound Traffic on Main Street/Washington Street:

  • Traffic will be detoured to turn left onto Lathrop Avenue.
  • Vehicles will then turn right onto Madison Street.
  • From Madison Street, traffic will turn right on Grant Street, leading back to Washington Street.

Spiniello Construction Company is under contract with the Rockaway Valley Regional Sewerage Authority for the sewer rehabilitation project along Washington Street.
