Project Self-Sufficiency to host career fair on April 17

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – Local businesses and organizations are gearing up to recruit new staff members at Project Self-Sufficiency’s Career & Job Fair, located at 127 Mill Street in Newton, on Wednesday, April 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Representatives from local employers and educational institutions will be on hand to promote job openings and scholastic opportunities. Additional job searching resources, such as mock interviews, will be offered to attendees by Project Self-Sufficiency Career Center staff.

A Shop Rite gift card will be awarded to a lucky Career & Job Fair attendee and The event is free and open to the public.

“We encourage anyone who is interested in advancing their career to attend this unique event,” commented Project Self-Sufficiency Executive Director Deborah Berry-Toon.  “In addition to learning about employment opportunities and options for furthering their education, job seekers can get immediate feedback on their resume, fine-tune their interview skills, and get tips on enhancing their job search process.”

Recent Project Self-Sufficiency Career & Job Fairs have hosted more than 50 area employers.

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music.
