Prologue Therapy and Relationship Counseling joins Flemington business community with ribbon-cutting ceremony

FLEMINGTON, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Prologue Therapy and Relationship Counseling to the Main Street business district with a ribbon-cutting and open house on Monday, celebrating the private practice’s new office in the heart of Flemington.

The event attracted community leaders, Chamber members, and local residents interested in learning more about the mental health services offered by the practice. Owned and operated by Nicole Locorriere, LMFT, Prologue Therapy aims to serve individuals, couples, and families across New Jersey with an emphasis on empathy, inclusion, and community engagement.

“Running a private practice—especially in a post-COVID world—is known to be pretty isolating work,” Locorriere said. “So, I knew if I was going to do this, I was going to want my practice to be woven into the fabric of something bigger, like this very special community we have in the Flemington Borough.”

In addition to therapy services, Locorriere noted that Prologue’s seven therapists also participate in community outreach, such as games at Shad Fest in Lambertville and educational workshops at Flemington DIY. One of their upcoming events, “For the Girls,” focuses on teaching women about gaslighting, narcissism, and healthy attachment styles.

“All seven of the very talented therapists at Prologue understand the value that a strong community can have on our mental health,” Locorriere said.

Christopher J. Phelan, President & CEO of the Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce, welcomed the practice to the borough and praised its commitment to serving the public.

“We are thrilled to welcome Prologue Therapy and Relationship Counseling to our Main Street business community,” Phelan said. “Their presence reinforces the importance of mental health resources in our region and exemplifies the kind of compassionate, community-focused entrepreneurship that helps Hunterdon County thrive.”

The Chamber encouraged residents to explore Prologue’s services and consider participating in upcoming programs and workshops. The ribbon-cutting ceremony reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful business connections and promoting economic development throughout the county.
