Route 181 northbound to close Monday for paving in Jefferson

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — Route 181 northbound is scheduled to close during the day Monday for paving work in Jefferson Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, Route 181 northbound is scheduled to be closed between Route 15 and Prospect Point Road for milling and paving.

Alternating traffic will be maintained using Route 181 southbound during the work.

The paving is being completed as part of a New Jersey Natural Gas project, according to NJDOT.

Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling through the work zone.

The timing of the work is subject to change because of weather or other factors.
