Space Farms announces winning names for 3 Sussex County bear cubs

WANTAGE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sussex County)Space Farms Zoo & Museum has announced the winning names for its three new bear cubs following a public naming contest held on social media.

The zoo revealed Thursday that the cubs will be named Harris, Hubert and Hamish. The winning submission was entered by Vincent Connolly.

Space Farms launched the “Name the Bear” contest last month on Facebook, inviting the public to submit name ideas for the three male cubs.

The cubs include two bears born in early January and a third born in late March.

Contest entries were accepted from April 23 through May 14, with participants limited to one name suggestion per comment.

The winner will receive a one-day admission pass for one adult and one child.
