Sussex County Library System to launch 2025 Winter Reading Challenge on Feb. 1
SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – The Sussex County Library System (SCLS) invites readers of all ages to join its 2025 Winter Reading Challenge: “For the Love of a Good Book.”
The Winter Reading Challenge requires no initial registration and will run throughout the entire month of February. Participants simply read books, submit raffle tickets, and qualify for a chance to win exciting prizes.
How to Participate:
- No Registration Required: Pick up a book and start reading!
- Open to All Ages: From toddlers to seniors, everyone is welcome to join.
- Submit Raffle Tickets: Visit your local branch to submit raffle tickets for each book you read.
Each SCLS location will have one winner in each age group, totaling 18 winners across the county. Prizes include:
- Adults: Winter Reading Bundles, which include an SCLS blanket, a portable cutlery set, a lanyard, and a “Let’s Eat” $25 Gift Card in a canvas tote.
- Teens (ages 13-17): $25 Amazon Gift Cards.
- Children (ages 0-12): $25 Barnes & Noble Gift Cards.
Participation is open to SCLS cardholders of all ages. Library cards are free for anyone who lives, works, or attends school in Sussex County (excluding Sparta). Visit the SCLS website or ask your local branch librarian for more information about library card policies.
