UPDATE: 2 eastbound lanes of I-80 reopen following tractor-trailer fire in Morris County
WHARTON BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Two right eastbound lanes of I-80 after exit 34 in Wharton Borough reopened following a tractor-trailer fire Monday morning.
The fire happened at around 1:24 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.
Upon the troopers’ arrival, a trailer from a tractor-trailer was fully engulfed, Lebron said.
There were no injuries reported, Lebron said.
The lanes reopened at around 9:00 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
