Two men charged after Morris County traffic stop

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Morris County) — A Dover man was arrested Aug. 23 after Hanover Township police said he was found with cocaine and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop.

Police said officers stopped a vehicle for weaving while conducting DWI enforcement patrol. During the investigation, passenger Juan Rocha-Gutierrez, 31, of Dover, was allegedly found with cocaine and an angle-cut straw. He was arrested, charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and multiple traffic offenses, and later released pending a court date.

The driver, Juan Olayalemus, 43, of Mine Hill, was also charged after police determined both men had been smoking marijuana in the vehicle. Olayalemus was cited for possession of an open container and consumption of marijuana. He was issued traffic summonses and released with a court date.
