WalletHub: Four Northwest New Jersey school districts rank in the top 10 as most equitable

NEW JERSEY – Four Northwest New Jersey school districts rank in the top 10 as most equitable, according to WalletHub.

With low-income school districts underfunded by around $6,700 per pupil, WalletHub Tuesday released its report on the Most and Least Equitable School Districts in New Jersey.

To find out where school funding is distributed most fairly, WalletHub scored the equitability of each school district in New Jersey based on two metrics: average household income and expenditures for public elementary and secondary schools per pupil.

New Jersey ranked as the 7th least equitable overall.
