Warren County woman killed in 4-vehicle crash on Route 31

LEBANON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Warren County woman was killed in a four-vehicle crash on Route 31 in Hunterdon County on Thursday afternoon, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Philip Curry.

The crash happened on Aug. 17, at around 4:50 p.m., on Route 31 at milepost 36.6 in Lebanon Township, curry siad.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a GMC Acadia, operated by Rachael Macdonald, 38, of Washington, was traveling south on Route 31 when it entered the northbound lanes and struck the left rear of a Chevy Express, Curry said.

The GMC re-entered the southbound lanes continuing south before re-entering the northbound lanes again striking the left of a Mercedes Benz and the front of a Toyota Tacoma, Curry said.

As a result of the crash, Macdonald suffered fatal injuries. The drivers of the other vehicles did not report any injuries, Curry said.

Route 31 was closed for approximately 3 hours and the crash remains under investigation, Curry said.
