Water restrictions lifted for Hopatcong Borough residents

HOPATCONG BOROUGH, NJ (Sussex County) – The Hopatcong Borough Municipal Water System has announced that water restrictions for residents were lifted as of Friday, October 4, at 11:00 p.m.

The restrictions had been implemented in late September due to high water demand, which was attributed to suspected leaks in the water main or service lines.

Despite the lifting of restrictions, the borough is currently experiencing reduced well production rates at several municipal sites. Residents are encouraged to conserve water whenever possible.

For questions, residents can contact Superintendent of Public Works Pat Mason at 973-770-1200, extension 402, or email PMason@hopatcong.org.
