1 airlifted, 3 others injured in I-78 crash in Hunterdon County

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — One person was airlifted and three others — including two children — were hospitalized following a crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 78 in Hunterdon County, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the two-vehicle crash around 1:27 p.m. on I-78 West at milepost 8.2 in Bethlehem Township, said State Police spokesperson Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron.

A preliminary investigation found that a Honda SUV and a tractor-trailer were involved in the collision. The driver of the Honda sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.

An adult passenger and two juvenile passengers in the Honda suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation. No further details were immediately available.
