Two residents displaced after fire damages unit at Vail Gardens in Parsippany

PARSIPPANY TROY-HILLS, N.J. (Morris County) — A fire at the Vail Gardens apartment complex Thursday night left two residents permanently displaced, according to officials.

The blaze was reported at 8:58 p.m. at 100 Vail Road. The first arriving chief confirmed an active fire in a second-floor unit moments after dispatch.

Firefighters from District 6, the Lake Hiawatha Fire Department and Parsippany Fire District 4 brought the fire under control within 10 minutes of arriving on scene, officials said. The Boonton Fire Department also responded, providing additional manpower and serving as the rapid intervention crew.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities said two residents were displaced due to the damage. The cause of the fire wasn’t immediately known.
