Alternating single-lane travel set next week on Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge

FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge is scheduled to be reduced to a single alternating-travel lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, Dec. 8–13, as rehabilitation work continues on the 94-year-old span.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission said the daytime restrictions are needed to complete various tasks associated with this year’s bridge rehabilitation project. Motorists should expect brief delays while the alternating traffic pattern is in place.

Drivers are urged to slow down and follow flagger instructions when approaching or crossing the bridge.

All scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances.
