‘Deck the House’ holiday contest planned in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Residents in Hackettstown are gearing up for some friendly competition.

“Deck the House,” is a holiday contest sponsored the Hackettstown Recreation Commission and the Hackettstown Business Improvement District.

Each neighborhood will have winners chosen from the following 3 categories by the judging committee:

  • Classical Holiday
  • Animated
  • Most Modern

The “Deck the House” sections will be Willow Grove, Centenary area homes, West Valley View Ave, Main Street, Kenwood, College View, East Prospect, and the historical district.

Decoration will need to be displayed by December 10 and judging will take place December 17 through December 19 between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

The community gets to vote for one house in Hackettstown and that home will win the “People’s Choice.” Email your votes to socialmedia@hackettstownbid.com no later than December 19. Be sure send your name and the address of your favorite decorated house in Hackettstown. One vote per person and votes can be casted between December 10 thru December 19.
