Hackettstown begins road milling and paving work

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) — Milling and paving operations begin today, Monday, May 12, 2025, on several roadways throughout Hackettstown, according to municipal officials.

The work will take place on West Prospect Street, West Moore Street, Mitchell Road between Victoria Lane and Arthur Terrace, Victor Court, and Charles Street between West Stiger Street and West Valley View Avenue.

According to the schedule, milling will begin on West Prospect Street, followed by Charles Street, then West Moore Street, Mitchell Road, and finally Victor Court. Paving will follow after the milling is completed on each street.

Daily work hours are scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and all operations are weather dependent and subject to change.

Residents are advised that all vehicles must be removed from the affected streets by 6:30 a.m. each day. Those needing access to their vehicles during work hours should also move them from driveways by that time. Driveway access will be restored once barricades are removed at the end of each workday.

Full road closures will be in effect on streets undergoing construction, so motorists should plan alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
