Hunterdon County Homeownership Expo to be held on Jan. 31

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – The Hunterdon County Homeownership Expo is set to take place on Jan. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in Flemington.

This event is free to attend and promises to be a one-stop destination for anyone planning to buy a home.

“The goal of this event is to spread the word to all residents that affordable housing in Hunterdon County is a viable option. The homebuying process can be daunting, and events like this help ease that process by showing the many options available for all prospective homeowners,” Commissioner Director Jeff Kuhl said.

The event is open to the public and surrounding communities are encouraged to attend to learn about affordable housing options in rural New Jersey, as reduced interest rates are eyed for the near future.

“We’ve brought together a diverse range of professionals to provide comprehensive guidance and resources,” said Chris Phelan, Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce President. “Whether you are exploring financing options, seeking advice on home inspections, or aiming to enhance your financial literacy, the Expo is designed to be your roadmap to homeownership.”

The Expo will feature Exhibitors, Realtors, Lenders, Title Companies, Inspectors, Financial Literacy experts, and Counselors ready to share valuable information and resources for prospective homeowners.

A highlight of the event will be a presentation by USDA Rural Development on how homebuyers can purchase a home with no money down and fixed rates under USDA’s Direct & Guaranteed loan programs. These programs offer attendees affordable pathways to homeownership.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance through the Hunterdon County Chamber website.

The Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce is co-sponsoring the event alongside Hunterdon County and is dedicated to fostering economic growth and prosperity in Hunterdon County by connecting businesses, promoting community engagement, and providing valuable resources.
