
Man accused of lying half-naked on Route 46 in Hackettstown faces charges
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man faces charges after allegedly lying half-naked on Route 46 in Hackettstown Wednesday night, according to police.
On Aug. 9, at around 6:59 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Main Street for a report of man lying on Route 46 only wearing a shirt. A second caller advised police that the man was now lying on the sidewalk and appeared to be intoxicated, police said.
Officers arrived on location and observed Robert A. Regad Jr., 32, of Hackettstown laying down on the front porch of a residence naked from the waist down, police said.
As a family member was assisting Regad into his apartment, he fell down the steps. He was screaming and threatening the officers and rescue squad members as he was being taken to the ambulance, police said.
Independence Township First Aid Squad transported Regad to Hackettstown Medical Center, police said.
Regad was charged with disorderly conduct and lewdness. He was released pending a court appearance.
