Man charged with DWI after hitting parked car in Hackettstown

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – A Warren County man was charged with driving while intoxicated after hitting a parked car Saturday night in Hackettstown, police said.

On Feb. 25, at around 8:51 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Lafayette St for a report of a motor vehicle crash, police said.

Through a police investigation, it was determined that Ever Antonio Hernandez-Sanchez, 34, of Hackettstown was traveling north on Lafayette St in a 2008 Nissan Sentra when he struck a 2004 Nissan Xterra that was parked alongside the roadway, police said.

While the officer was speaking to Hernandez-Sanchez, the officer allegedly detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage, police said.

No injuries were reported, police said.

Hernandez-Sanchez was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to possess an insurance card, driving while suspended, and driving without a license, He was released pending a court appearance.
