Man charged with DWI following crash in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing charges including driving while intoxicated last week following a motor vehicle crash in Denville Township.

On May 21, at around 5:07 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 46, officials said.

During the course of the investigation, one of the drivers, Christopher Giro, 69, of Morris Plains Borough was determined to be operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Giro was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, following too closely, reckless driving, and careless driving. He was then released pending a court appearance, police said.
