Man charged with illegal firearm sales, drug possession after multi-agency investigation in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, N.J. — A 27-year-old Glen Gardner man has been charged following an October investigation that led to the seizure of 15 firearms and the discovery of methamphetamine, according to the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

Gabriel C. Tullo-McVicar was arrested on October 10, after investigators identified him as a suspect in the possession and illegal sale of stolen firearms. Authorities allege Tullo-McVicar sold seven guns and was found in possession of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest.

“As a result of this investigation, a total of fifteen firearms have been seized and removed from the community,” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement. “This investigation reflects our commitment to making our communities safer by removing illegal firearms from circulation.”

Tullo-McVicar was charged with third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance; second-degree possession of a firearm while possessing a controlled dangerous substance; three counts of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose; second-degree illegal transportation and sale of defaced firearms; two counts of third-degree unlawful possession of a firearm; two counts of third-degree possession of stolen property, including two shotguns and one Sig Sauer handgun; and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, specifically a stolen handgun, without first obtaining a permit. He was lodged in the Warren County Correctional Center.

Second-degree crimes in New Jersey carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in state prison, while third-degree crimes carry a maximum sentence of five years.

The investigation was conducted by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washington Township Police Department, with assistance from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, the Warren County Tactical Response Team, and the New Jersey State Police Washington Barracks.
