Motorcyclist dies in multi-vehicle crash on I-287 in Somerset County

FAR HILLS BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A motorcyclist died in multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 287 in Somerset County Saturday morning, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened at around 11:23 a.m. on Interstate 287 northbound at milepost 24.8 in Far Hills Borough, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by Durmish Golesh, 27, of Staten Island, NY, was traveling northbound on Interstate 287 when the Kawasaki struck the rear of the Hyundai, overturned, and struck the rear of the Infiniti, Lebron said.

During the collision, Golesh was ejected and suffered fatal injuries, Lebron said.

There were no other injuries reported, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation and no additional information was available, Lebron said.
