
Tip-over, fire and entrapment hazards prompt broad slate of recalls for dressers, mattresses, kids’ products and more
A series of consumer product recalls announced this week covers furniture, mattresses, children’s items, off-road vehicles and household goods, with federal safety officials and companies urging consumers to stop using the affected products and follow refund or repair instructions. The actions cite risks including tip-over and entrapment, fire and burn hazards, laceration hazards, and violations of mandatory safety standards.

Hazard: The recalled dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing serious tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in injuries or death to children. The dressers violate the mandatory standard as required by the STURDY Act.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled dressers immediately, if they are not anchored to the wall, and place them in an area that children cannot access. Contact WLIVE for instructions on how to dispose of the dressers, to receive a full refund. Consumers must submit a photo to wliveproductrecall@wlivehome.com demonstrating disposal of the product.
Units: About 34,730 16-drawer dressers. (About 76,500 12-drawer dressers were previously recalled.)
 
H-E-B Recalls 12-Pack Destination Holiday Glow Light Stick Bracelets Due to Skin Irritation Hazard
Hazard: The green glow stick bracelet within the 12-pack container can leak, posing a skin irritation hazard.
Remedy: Consumers should not use the green bracelet sold as part of the 12-pack of bracelets and return the bracelet or container to H-E-B to receive a full refund.
Units: About 6,600
 
Hazard: The mattresses violate mandatory flammability standards for mattresses, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the mattress immediately and contact PT Champion to receive a free fitted cover to put over their mattress, which will bring the mattress into compliance with mandatory flammability standards.

Hazard: The mattresses violate the mandatory flammability standard, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mattress and contact DINBooonLUX for a full refund. Consumers should write “Recalled” on the mattress with a permanent marker, email a photo of the marked mattress to Dingbangrecall2025@outlook.com and certify disposal. Upon receipt of the photo and certification of disposal, consumers will be issued a full refund.

The Kroger Co. Recalls Halloween-Themed Skeleton Wax Candles Due to Fire Hazard
Hazard: The candle contains ornaments that are flammable, posing fire and burn hazards.
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled candle and return them to any Kroger store for a full refund in the original form of payment.
Units: About 3,680
 
Hazard: The high chairs pose a risk of serious injury or death to children because they violate the mandatory standard for high chairs. The high chairs were sold without the required attached restraint system, posing a serious risk of falls to children. In addition, a child’s head can become trapped in the opening created between the seat and the tray, posing a deadly entrapment hazard.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the high chairs and contact Harppa for a replacement high chair. Consumers should email recall@harppababy.com and provide the order number, order date, or photo of the tracking label located on the seatback. Upon verification of the recalled product, Harppa will plan for the replacement high chair to be delivered to the consumer. To destroy the recalled high chair, consumers should disassemble the high chair, cut the restraints and seat cover, and email photos of the disassembled and destroyed parts. Consumers must provide proof that the recalled product has been destroyed.

Hazard: A drawstring in the hood of the recalled jackets presents a substantial product hazard as it can get caught on objects and cause death or serious injury to children due to strangulation.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled jackets away from children and remove the drawstrings to eliminate the hazard. Consumers can either return the jacket to Grundens for a full refund or upload a photo of the jacket with the drawstring removed to receive a partial store credit in the form of a 20% discount code. Consumers should go to https://grundens.com/pages/recall to participate in the recall.

Hazard: An improperly routed alternator cable can become damaged and contact the negative battery post resulting in an electrical short, posing a fire hazard and risk of serious injury.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ROVs and go to https://www.polaris.com/en-us/recalls/off-road/polaris-recalls-some-model-year-2025-2026-ranger-xp-1000-and-crew-xp-1000-vehicles/ to determine if their vehicle falls under the scope of the recall. Polaris is providing instructions on how to continue operating their vehicles until the repair can be completed or to contact an authorized Polaris dealer to schedule a free repair at the dealer’s location.

Hazard: The after-market play yard mattresses may not adequately fit certain play yards which is in violation of the mandatory standard for crib mattresses, posing a deadly entrapment hazard. Babies have suffocated in gaps between an undersized mattress, or extra padding, and side walls of a product, especially when the infant’s face becomes trapped against the side and the mattress, preventing the infant from breathing.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mattresses and contact Modera for a full refund. Consumers should cut the mattresses in half and send a photo of the destroyed mattress in the waste bin to recall@moderababy.com to receive a full refund.

Knog Recalls Bicycle Lights Due to Fire and Burn Hazards
Hazard: The lithium-ion battery in the bicycle light can overheat and catch fire, posing a risk of fire and burn hazards.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycle light and register at http://www.knog.com/recall for instructions on how to receive a free replacement bicycle light. Consumers should dispose of the lithium-ion batteries in accordance with local and state regulations and not discard it in the household trash. Do not dispose of the light until you receive confirmation from Knog that your unit qualifies for the recall.

Milwaukee Tool Recalls M18 FUEL 14″ and 12″ Top Handle Chainsaws Due to Laceration Hazard
Hazard: The recalled chainsaw’s chain brake may not activate, posing a laceration hazard.

Werner Paddles Recalls Kayak Paddles Due to Drowning Hazard
Hazard: The recalled kayak paddles can break during use, posing a drowning hazard.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled kayak paddles and contact Werner Paddles for a full refund in the form of a check or store credit redeemable online. Consumers should fill out a recall form at https://wernerpaddles.com/pages/covert-stealth-recall-consumers. To collect the refund or obtain the store credit, consumers should follow the instructions on the Werner website and destroy the recalled kayak paddle by cutting the paddle into four equal pieces, halfway through each blade and halfway through the left and right side of the shaft and upload a photo of the destroyed paddle.

Crate & Barrel Recalls Ana Dining Chairs Due to Fall Hazard
Hazard: The legs of the dining chair can break, posing a fall hazard.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dining chair and contact Crate & Barrel to obtain a free replacement chair and coordinate a free pick up of the recalled chair.
Units: About 54,930 (In addition, about 3,160 were sold in Canada)
 
Hazard: The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for children’s portable bed rails because when installed adjacent to the bed, a child can become entrapped in the openings on the side of the mattress, posing a risk of serious injury or death due to entrapment.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bed rails and contact HOMEAL for a full refund. Consumers should remove the cloth covering from the frame, cut the cloth in half, and email a photo of the destroyed cloth and frame to HOMEAL at homeal_recalls@outlook.com. Upon receipt of the photo, HOMEAL will issue a full refund. Consumers should dispose of the recalled bed rails in accordance with state and local waste disposal procedures.
