Tractor-trailer overturns on I-78 in Somerset County; no injuries reported

BEDMINSTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Somerset County) — A tractor-trailer overturned early Tuesday on Interstate 78 in Somerset County after the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 5:36 a.m. on I-78 west near milepost 30.6 in Bedminster Township, State Police spokesman Trooper II Christopher Postorino said.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling westbound when the driver lost directional control, struck the left guardrail and overturned.

Authorities reported no injuries in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation and no additional information was available.
