USPS to close June 19 for Juneteenth

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service will close all Post Office locations Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume Saturday, June 20.

Customers can still access many postal products and services while Post Offices are closed through usps.com and self-service kiosks available in select lobbies nationwide.

The kiosks allow customers to print postage for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express and international shipping, purchase stamps, weigh and mail packages, and access package tracking information.

USPS said it is also expanding self-service options at retail locations, including Rapid Dropoff Stations, label printing from merchant-provided QR codes and USPS Smart Lockers for package pickup and drop-off.

Many self-service kiosks are available 24 hours a day.
