Warren County marks 23rd anniversary of 9/11 terrorist attacks
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Warren County marked the 23rd anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 as students of the Warren County Technical School gathered at the Warren County Emergency Services and 9/11 Memorial to honor and remember the events of that fateful day.
Warren County Commissioner Director James R. Kern III was invited to lay the memorial wreath with Warren County Fire Marshal Joe Lake and Chief Joe Fox of the Warren County Fire Academy.
The Emergency Services and 9/11 Memorial is accessible to the public and is located at 1500 Route 57 in Washington Township between the Warren County Technical School and the Warren County Community College.
The Memorial is dedicated in honor of the Warren County residents who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York City.
It also honors the Warren County Police, Fire and EMS personnel who have died in the line of duty while protecting the citizens of Warren County and their property.
“All of those that have perished will always be remembered for their courage, the act of sacrificing their own interests for the greater good and above all for the caring that they showed to another human being,” officials said.
