Warren County woman arrested again, accused of trying to steal dog

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A Warren County woman, who was arrested in Pennsylvania in 2020 for stealing dogs, has been charged in Hunterdon County after she tried to steal a dog.

Jennifer L. Goldthwaite, 45, of Alpha Borough was charged on March 9 with third-degree burglary, and criminal mischief, according to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson.

The joint investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Unit and the Holland Township Police Department revealed that Goldthwaite unlawfully entered a residence in Holland Township with the intent to steal a dog, Robeson said.

Goldthwaite, formerly of Flemington, was lodged at the Warren County Jail and was later released onto conditional pretrial monitoring, Robeson said.

In March of 2020, Goldthwaite and Christopher Gordon of Flemington were accused of stealing 6 Golden Retriever puppies worth just under $5,000 from a home in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

Both were charged with burglary, theft by unlawful taking and two counts of conspiracy.
