Wawa recalls iced tea, lemonade and fruit punch over undeclared milk allergen

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced that Wawa has recalled several bottled beverages sold in several states due to the potential presence of an undeclared milk allergen.

The recall affects 16-ounce pint bottles of Wawa Iced Tea Lemon, Wawa Iced Tea Diet Lemon, Wawa Diet Lemonade and Wawa Fruit Punch distributed to select stores in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia.

According to the FDA, the products may contain milk that is not listed on the label, posing a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions for individuals with milk allergies.

The affected products include iced tea lemon with a code date of May 15, 2026; diet iced tea lemon and diet lemonade with code dates of May 18, 2026; and fruit punch with a code date of May 19, 2026. The items were distributed to a limited number of stores across the five states.

Wawa said the recalled beverages have been removed from sale and disposed of at impacted locations. No other Wawa-branded beverages or stores in other states are included in the recall.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the issue, according to the FDA.

The company said the recall was initiated after identifying and correcting a temporary equipment issue that may have led to the presence of the undeclared allergen.

Consumers who purchased the affected products are urged to dispose of them immediately and not consume them. Customers may contact Wawa’s customer service line at 1-800-444-9292 or visit the company’s website for additional information and refund options.

A full list of impacted store locations and product images is available on Wawa’s website.
