Centenary University inducts new education honor society members, officers

HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — Centenary University recently inducted new members and installed officers for its Kappa Delta Epsilon Education Honor Society during a ceremony held April 19.

The event, hosted by the university’s School of Education and Humanities, recognized student achievement and leadership within the Gamma Zeta Chapter of the national honor society.

Kappa Delta Epsilon has long been part of the Centenary campus, promoting academic excellence and professional development for students preparing for careers in education. Members participate in service initiatives both on campus and in the community, including projects such as designing and funding a “Clinical Classroom” and volunteering at events.

Faculty adviser Lexis McCoy said the ceremony highlights the dedication and commitment of students entering the profession.

“The students who actively work in this honor society are outstanding and it is a pleasure to advise such an impressive group of future educators. This ceremony honored those who have demonstrated dedication to their studies and a commitment to the professional ideals of education.”

The ceremony also marked the installation of a new slate of officers who will lead the organization in the coming year.
