Morris County names Michele Reilly as clerk of the Board of County Commissioners
MORRISTOWN, N.J. (Morris County) — Morris County has appointed Michele Reilly as the new clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, bringing nearly two decades of municipal government experience to the position.
Reilly officially joined Morris County on May 19 and assumed the role of clerk of the board on July 1, succeeding longtime Clerk of the Board Debra Lynch, who retired.
Reilly brings 18 years of experience in municipal government, including nearly 10 years as township clerk in Jefferson Township.
During her tenure in Jefferson, Reilly served as secretary to the governing body and oversaw a variety of statutory responsibilities, including maintaining official records, administering elections, managing public notices, processing Open Public Records Act requests and handling municipal licensing.
A Registered Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Registrar, Reilly has earned recognition for her experience in local government administration and public service.
As clerk of the Board of County Commissioners, Reilly will be responsible for maintaining official board records, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, coordinating public notices and supporting the board’s legislative and administrative functions.
