State Police: Tractor-trailer driver found dead on I-80 in Morris County

State police said his death is not considered suspicious at this time

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – New Jersey State Police are investigating after a driver was found dead in a tractor-trailer along Interstate 80 in Morris County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Philip Curry said.

Troopers responded Sunday to Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 40.5 in Denville Township for a report of tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder and that the driver was believed to be dead, Curry said.

Upon arrival, the troopers confirmed that the driver, Jonathan Vistren-Jaquez, 34, of Mexico, was dead, Curry said.

“The incident is under investigation but is not considered suspicious at this time,” Curry said.

No further information was available.
