Sussex County libraries will be open as cooling centers, charging stations

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ – With the hot summer weather upon us, we would like to remind everyone that all county libraries will be open as cooling centers and charging stations.

Here are the hours of operation for each location:

  • Main Library 125 Morris Turnpike, Newton
    • 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Monday-Thursday); 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Friday); 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Saturday)
  • Dennis Branch 101 Main St., Newton
    • 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Monday & Wednesday); 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)
  • Dorothy Henry Branch 66 Route 94, Vernon
    • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday); 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Franklin Branch 103 Main St., Franklin
    • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday); 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Louise Childs Branch 21 Stanhope-Sparta Rd., Stanhope
    • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday); 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Tuesday & Thursday)
  • Sussex-Wantage Branch 69 County Route 639, Wantage
    • 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Monday & Wednesday); 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday)

Jay Edwards

Born and raised in Northwest NJ, Jay has a degree in Communications and has had a life-long interest in local radio and various styles of music. Jay has held numerous jobs over the years such as stunt car driver, bartender, voice-over artist, traffic reporter (award winning), NY Yankee maintenance crewmember and peanut farm worker. His hobbies include mountain climbing, snowmobiling, cooking, performing stand-up comedy and he is an avid squirrel watcher. Jay has been a guest on America’s Morning Headquarters,program on The Weather Channel, and was interviewed by Sam Champion.
