Hackettstown introduces $310K ordinance for Liberty Street improvements
HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. (Warren County) — The Hackettstown Town Council has introduced an ordinance appropriating $310,000 for improvements to Liberty Street.
The project includes milling, paving, sidewalks and curbing along the roadway, according to the ordinance.
Funding for the work will come from multiple sources, including $183,718 from the town’s capital improvement fund and a $126,282 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Officials said the improvements are classified as a capital project, with an expected useful life of at least five years under state law.
The ordinance was introduced at the council’s March 12 meeting and is scheduled for a public hearing and possible final adoption on April 9 at 7 p.m. at the municipal building.
