No injuries reported in Hunterdon County barn fire

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – No injuries were reported in a Monday afternoon barn fire in Kingwood Township, according to a post on the Kingwood Township Volunteer Fire Company Facebook page.

The Kingwood Township Vol. Fire Co No 1 and Kingwood First Aid and Rescue Squad responded at 1:46 p.m. to a property off County Route 519 for a report of a barn that had a fire in the wall, authorities said.

Fire chiefs arrived on scene and observed nothing showing from the exterior. Workers on scene moved animals from the building and no animals were harmed during this incident, the post said.

The Chiefs’ and homeowner quickly extinguished the fire and checked for extension. Crews then  assisted with the overhaul, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by the fire marshals.
